Template Monster Blog » Blog Archive » Free WordPress Themes
How pathetic. Template Monster, testing the blog theme waters, is offering up 5 new themes free for download, the only caveat is a 5 question survey before downloading.
But here’s the kicker. One theme, is “inspired” by CSS Guru Cameron Moll, alas the design is in tables, TABLES!?!?
Point of suggestion Template Monster, get with the program.

It seems the brilliant minds behind the machina that is WP are hard at work on 2.1, and you can read asymptomatic’s take on the initial changes. Especially pay attention to the comments, and Owen’s discussion of plugins, and a plan to protect your blog on upgrades. I will be approaching Owen shortly to see if he’ll be interested in being the subject of the next interview, as he comes on Skippy’s recommendation. Plus, I’d like to know more about the bloggers/WordPress meetups he attends there in his neck of the woods.
If there’s anyone else you’d be interested in hearing more from, hit me up on the contact form.

Binary Bonsai
Is offering up a one year hosting (valued at $95) plus domain registration to any plugin author who can code a plugin that would give a user a notification via Growl, a Mac application that handles a multitude of notifications for various types of applications. It very well appears that others would be interested in this plugin as well, and potentially other rewards would be in store. So fire up the text editor, and commence to coding!

Fairvue Central >> Bloggies >> Sixth Annual Weblog Awards
Only 3 days left to vote. Be sure to go over and vote for your favorite application for a weblog, WordPress’s first opportunity to be included. While you’re there, be sure to vote for Geeksmakemehot as Jennifer’s up for “best tag line.”.
I’m also voting for 456Berea Street for best Web Development Blog.
If nothing else, they’re a great opportunity to see what’s going on in the “blogsphere” and find some new reading.
