It’s been quite tough to keep up with all the new releases of plugins, themes, and general WP news, but this is one plugin that I’ve used on a project in the past, and was quite happy with. So I’m even more excited to see it upgraded to 3.0. Even with a finicky host, the plugin was not too difficult to get a gallery set up, which allows for a viewer to simply mouse over a thumbnail for a larger image. Many improvements announced by the author, and you can be sure I’ll be quick to check them out. You should too.

WP lightbox JS WordPress plugin

I recently discovered the lightbox JS, and thought it was a cool effect, and no sooner did I think that, did I find this quality plugin that easily incorporates the script into a WordPress install, including an easy to use quicktag. A great plugin for blogs that use images as a focal point of content.

A three column, center content theme, that was designed to work with FAlbum (a Flicker plugin). Crisp design, and nice way to work the flickr images in.

So I recently announced the release of the plugin, and said I would be giving it a run, and I’m happy to report the plugin works fine, albeit a few quickly added updates by the developer were needed to work with PHP 5. I haven’t gotten around to tweaking the settings yet, but seems like the better of the flickr/wordpress options going.

F Gallery

Seven Nine has released the first public beta of their F Gallery plugin, which allows for the display of your Flickr images on your site. It appears this is the first plugin that allows for albums and not just the most recent images, will be trying this out on another blog, and will follow up with a more formal review soon.

A flickkr badge plugin for your site, sans the flash. And I bet it validates XHTML strict as well, something I coudln’t figure out how to do with Flikr’s badge. What I haven’t figured out yet is does the plugin use your own folder or the flickr accounts?
