WyntonMagazine latest version
Lots of magazine style themes floating around out there now in WPland, and this beta version, a "brother" of the author’s first foray into a magazine style theme, Brandford – get it, brother, Wynton and Branford? WP jazz, nevermind
As the author states, it’s completely "beta", with no support offered, and missing templates, but for those looking to customize something for their own needs, it looks like just the ticket.
I may even look to adapt it for Habari.

someone steps away from a vibrant, constantly evolving open source project for year, and decides to step back in on some level? Apparently a lot. I had a lot of personal issues with certain aspects of the community, and decided to step away, rather than join the chorus of those that simply slagged the powers that be, however, that animosity has waned, and I want to now see where things are. There are certainly plenty more current, and heavily followed sites out there dedicated to WordPress news, not to mention, since the inception of this site, the official WordPress site has added the plugins repository, so finding new and updated plugins are much easier. I still need to find a niche, or some use for this site, and over the course of the next few weeks I hope to do so. I certainly want to update the design, perhaps to a more magazine style theme, and while doing that, and other tweaks, I’ll find a new voice to utilize this space. If anyone is still reading this, I’d love to hear suggestions on what might be worthwhile to cover.
