Chipin for a New Theme

Pressed for free time, TJK is soliciting donations (and suggestions for the new theme) for creating a new public theme. Granted, there are numerous themes being released, but very few rate as well as the ones already released by JTK.
I have no problems with such an endeavor, and completely understand the author’s point. Personally, I’d rather see 50 people donate $5 to theme authors, than have themes with links to buying flowers online with caveats that the link shouldn’t be removed. So, if you are looking for a new theme, and want to have some input on a quality release, here’s your chance.

I am for all of your examples as well
I was just trying something out - your ideas would be just as fun to try.
There is a great deal of discussion about new ways to compensate musicians, artists, designers, and others and I was doing a science project as much as anything - new market research maybe…
I’m not sure what ideas I was suggesting, to reiterate, I’m not an advocate of sponsored links in themes/plugins that come with a caveat that they can not be removed (or shouldn’t).
I’d rather the community at large step up and make it worth while to make these types of contributions on a regular basis.
My dislexia kicked in, I thought you were advocating having “the community” donate to 50 different wp authors.
Obviously I need remedial reading comprehension…
Anyway, I do include a link in my free themes back to my site but that is about it - not ads, or sponsored links, or anything like that.
My themes are released under the creative commons attribution license, but I really don’t care how that attribution is done.
If one wanted to remove the links from the theme and give me a link from like a links page - fine. If they wanted to include a thanks in a blog post - great. If they have a different site and wanted to link to imjtk from that site - okay.
