Another way of combating spam. This allows to ban a commentor by email, IP, and several other options. Similar to the blacklist feature, this however spells out for those not familiar with such.

This sounds like a great spam deflector. Can anybody recommend it? easy to download? etc?
Arthur, the plugin is simple to download, download zip, extract, upload to wp-content/plugins/ activate and define the stuff you wish to block.
Arthur, it seems if you have a specific person or domain attempting to spam your site, this is a great solution.
Personally, I have tremendous success using the combination of Bad Behavior and Spam Karma 2. However, I’ve seen several users have the need to block a commentor not because of spam so much as obusive comments, this would be a perfect solution for such.
