About The Wordpress Wii Edition Plugin:
The WordPress Wii Edition Plugin is a plugin that automatically renders an optimized version of your blog when visitors come to your blog on a Nintendo Wii running the Opera browser. Wii’s are automatically detected, there is no configuration needed. The theme used by the plugin is based on the colors of the Wii interface and uses the “Wii” font at sizes that provide for easy reading on TV screens.

Still catching up from some of the recent theme releases, and I’d be remiss not to mention this port of an open source design. Though others have attempted to do this for WordPress already, I’d argue to say that this version is the best representation of the design, with attention spent on the comments output to mention just one reason it’s a worth a look if you are looking for a “web 2.0″ style design. It has a definite Hemmingway feel to it. All in all a well done port, and something aspire to in my attempt to port Aqueous.

A very interesting, 3 column theme, with subtle graphic atop each center column post to offset the starkness of the design that somehow works. Lots of white space, with gray text, accented by a dark purple header text, and magenta link colors. No mention if there’s a simple means to customize the header image, but anyone comfortable with an image editing application shouldn’t have a problem doing so. Looks customizable, though it’s widget ready, so most may not feel the need.

iStef.info V4 Theme
First up, this site is completely in Japanese (I think?), so bear with me in sorting out the theme. Regardless of the site’s language, the theme itself appears completely functional for English speaking bloggers. A right hand sidebar with styles in pink, blue, and Christmas included, this theme also supports several plugins and third party services like Ultimate Tag Warrior and Delicious. Worth a look.

A small update to this popular plugin is out. The update deals with how urls are handled by Flickr with certain images. If you are not familiar with the plugin, it grabs the latest images from your Flickr accounts RSS feed for display on your site. Very popular for showing latest images in your sidebar.

The open-source and free software project Wordpress has risen to prominence, elbowing aside many rivals with its blog creation, management and (importantly) spam-beating tools….Blogger is the best of the rest…
A nice little nod from a not so small source. Congrats to those that have pushed WP to the forefront.

If you would like to submit a plugin or theme for posting, feel free to submit a draft for consideration. All I ask is a valid link to the item, and hopefully a small description of the plugin/theme. A link at least allows me to find a little info. Otherwise, the post will be discarded.

In case you haven’t looked at your dashboard lately, Automattic is offering up some limited number of WordPress T-shirts via a 3rd party shipper. Which means, international buyers are out of luck. However, in the spirit of how I got my, if someone wants to send me the funds for the shirt and shipping via paypal, I’ll gladly see it gets sent over seas. Just hit me on the contact page, and we can go from there.
Oh, and a suggestion Matt, there are a few volunteers in the forums and codex that a t-shirt like this would go a lot further than a custom moniker, especially around the holidays.
