mozdev.org – mycroft: download
Not a WP plugin, rather a plugin for the search bar in FF, there is both a Codex and support forums search. Really handy, I find I’m using them more and more. One more reason to use FF as the every day browser.

Democracy AJAX Poll
Jalenack has updated his democracy plugin. A WordPress poll plugin.
Squible
Theron, via his Squible blog, has released 1.0 Alpha of his new theme, Squible. My first theme when I started using WP was Theron’s minimaplus, so I can attest to the quality of his work, and I can say this theme is quite adventurous. Designed to work with “social networking” in mind, and the concept of tags vs categories. A nice look to boot.
List Subpages
Rob over at his Roblog has released a plugin to allow a user to use a simple tag to list child pages of a parent page. Though pages are a great feature of WP 1.5, there have been several incidents of missing features. This plugin seems to fill in one of those gaps.
Speedy Cat Plugin
Slightly Remarkable Has released a bug fix for their Speedy Cat plugin. Fixed is a bug working with the default admin panel. The plugin allows for on the fly category creation from the write panel, vs the default manner. (*Note, this concept is being incorporated into 1.6 of WP)
Bad Behavior 1.2.1
Lunacy Unleashed IOError has released a bug fix regarding the whitelist in the invaluable Bad Behaivor plugin. Get it Now.
New Look for a New-ish Site
For the few that have been here before, I’ve created a new theme. I found this great tutorial for using Javascript and CSS to create the colored boxes, with rounded edges rather than graphics. The nice feature is that in browsers that do not support the funtion, the boxes will simply be squared off. I’m not sure I’m sold on the minty green, but it works with the other colors, so I’ll keep it for now. At some point, I’ll get it tweaked, and a calendar in there (I still need to style the calendar), and release the theme for general comsumption. I’d like to use the tutorial in the codex for public release, and really cover all my bases. I also have a 3 column I’d like to get out there.
Any quirks you notice or comments will be greatly appreciated.
Flashfader WordPress Plugin
lynk
has released a plugin that implements a flash based slideshow. All images are uploaded via the admin panel, and only a simple line of code needs to be dropped into the template of choice, including the sidebar, as the author demos at his site.
ViewLevel 2.0
firetree.net has announced a new plugin that allows for the admin to set posts to be viewed only by registered users, and by user level. Could be quite handy in a community oriented site, where various levels of user is used. Only concern regarding a plugin such as this, is when 1.6 is released, how will it work with the new permissions scheme, vs user level. Hopefully the plugin author has kept up with the development, and this will either deprecate gracefully, or will be easily adapted to the new system.
Flash Gallery Plugin
Yellow Swordfish has recently updated his gallery plugin. Haven’t used it yet, but sounds very interesting, and I have just the place to try it out.
